I started a clothing line from deconstructed KEXP (Seattle’s public radio station) t-shirts. YeahSara began to donate back refashioned shirts to be prizes for the radio listeners, then turned into a sustainable line, Sim Sima. Shirts continued to sell in Needles + Pens, SF (whose owner said, “Ladies love them because the fit flatters a variety of real body types.”) Sim Sima clothing appeared 2 years in a row at The LAB gallery fashion shows. It is rumored that Neko Case wore one of the KEXP refashioned tees in concert.
